Forget that old and blurry copy of Herr Lang’s “Harakiri” that circulated since decades among silent film “conneisseurs”!; now and thanks to the efforts and patience of the longhaired youngsters at “Nederlands Filmmuseum” und “Cineteca del Comune di Bologna”, a newly, restored and pristine copy of that early Herr Lang silent film will be available and can be enjoyed, replacing the deteriorated old nitrate, for any silent film fan around the world, German counts included…
The restoration world premiere of “Harakiri” was shown last Sunday 11th at “France 3”, the second largest French public television channel, in the T.V. program “Cinéma de Minuit”, hoping this German count that pretty soon that this great silent film restoration will be released in a modernen disk format.

Yo la he visto pero casi ni cuenta porque apenas se distinguían las caras de los actores.
Ciertamente, mein lieber Herr Cortés... a excepción de éste Herr Graf que, debido a su condición de viejo y aristócrata, tuvo la oportunidad de asistir al estreno de "Harakiri" hace ya unos años..., la única copia disponible para los melenudos de ese filme primerizo de Herr Lang, era una colección de borrosas imagines en las cuales difícilmente se podía apreciar nada, no pudiendo apreciar, por ejemplo, la excelente dirección artística de dicho filme.
